Is Words And Music for you?
I’m hoping to reach a community that has an interest in short form pieces across a broad range of subjects concerning principally words (mainly books) and music (both artists and tunes)
The subjects will be mainly contemporary, but don’t be surprised if I find an interesting topic by delving back a couple of hundred years into a book or a composer’s work
Hopefully you’ll see a diverse, broad and eclectic collection and perhaps the observations and perspectives that I bring might be surprising

Why this, and why now ?
I’ve been writing for many years, but never bothered to publish
Now I’ve got a little more time on my hands and this wonderful Substack platform makes it easy to publish, so I’m going for it
Using the web to share what brings a smile to my face and being connect with like minded people is a big part of the motivation
What to expect from Words And Music
Expect 1 or 2 pieces every month, on no specific days
Initially the work will be in written form, with occasional podcasts so you can hear them on the go; like a mini on-demand radio show segment to listen to in the car or when you’re working out
Eventually when I’ve figured out all the technical pieces, I hope to simultaneously release a written piece and it’s companion podcast
Launching as a free subscription initially, there may be a subscription in the future if the costs of production increase, and I am able expand the content
You can always pledge to become a paid subscriber now, in the event that I reach that point
So, I hope you’ll join me for a ride through the words and music that have appealed to my literary and musical instincts and given me great joy along the way
